Painter/Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven Painter/Maintenance Technician for Real Property Management-Richmond Metro. Strong candidates will bring a full range of knowledge (including but not limited to) interior and exterior painting, including walls, trim, doors, ceilings, as well as ability to paint exterior siding and shutter. Tech should also have general handyman skills, minor plumbing, changing light bulbs and air filters, hanging blinds, etc. The Painter/Technician will perform tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. This position will be responsible for the timely and professional completion of tasks to the standards of the Real Property Management Richmond Metro organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Application and knowledge of Painting and Handyman work and repairs
  • Perform work in a timely manner and provide exceptional quality of work
  • Schedule, communicate and perform property evaluations
  • Maintain the established customer service standards for both owners and residents
  • Promptly respond, pursue, and resolve issues

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in maintenance or suitable experience in residential repairs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff
  • After-hours calls and site visits as necessary
  • Must be able to pass a background check
Responsibilities
  • Provide basic Painting and maintenance for managed properties as assigned
  • Perform and provide exceptional quality work and services
  • Perform work in a timely manner
  • After-hours calls and site visits as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years’ Maintenance experience 
  • Handyman certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to prepare, write and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and staff
  • General maintenance and repair knowledge
  • Willingness to learn
  • Must provide own tools necessary for basic maintenance functions and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Willingness to be on-call 24/7 but rarely needed
 
Compensation: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
